Profile

Eva Campos Domínguez holds a PhD in Communication and was awarded with the Special Doctoral Award (UCM, 2009) and a predoctoral scholarship from the Spanish legislature (las Cortes Generales, 2007 and 2008). She is also Associate Professor of journalism at the University of Valladolid. Most of her research has focused on political and online communication. She has worked on various national and international research projects focusing on online political media, such as The Online Campaign Strategies of Spanish Political Parties: 2015-2015 (CS02013-44446-R); Political “Infotainment” on Television and Online. Format, Audience and Consequences in Spanish Political Communication (CS02012-34698); and Digital Campaigning, Digital Journalism and the Electorate’s Digital Activity (CS02010-C02-02). She has authored and edited books such as Citizenship in 3D: Digital Deliberative Democracy and Exploratory Analysis (2012) and Digital Democracy in the Spanish Legislature (2011, unofficial translation), as well as many scientific articles. She has served as Visiting Professor at the Sapienza University of Rome, the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), the University of São Paulo and the CIES-ISTEC of Lisbon, among others. She is member of the University of Valladolid’s Recognized Research Group GIR-Nuteco and of the Research Group on Art, Media and Politics (Neamp) at PUC-SP.
